TDM Design's 32CL-2 stereo compressor/limiter
and 32CL-4 quad compressor/limiter represent the
latest in state-of-the-art design and manufacturing
technology. Innovative electrical and mechanical
design concepts and implementation have resulted
in a superior product which allows the user to have
both compression and limiting on each channel.
This enables the user to obtain the great sound of a
soft knee compressor while still being able to set a
maximum signal level with the limiter to give the
utmost protection.

The compressor has both a threshold and ratio
control, as well as attack and release buttons. The
limiter section also has it’s own threshold control for
flexible adjustments. Compression and limiting will
both be independently indicated with a green LED.
An overall level control is adjustable from -20 to +20
dB without effecting the compression and limiting
settings. There is a signal present (-20dB) LED and
a peak (+10dB) LED.

The new THAT Corporation’s 2181 VCA guarantee
the finest in sound quality and overall electrical
performance. One percent resistor keep the unit
functioning with precision.

The Model 32CL-2/4 is a system designed product.
You can use it either in a balanced or unbalanced
mode or in any combination thereof. ¼ phone
connectors are provided for ease of hook-up. Side
chain access through a ¼ phone connector allows
additional processing gear to be implemented for
effecting specific frequencies for the trigger signal.
This is useful for de-essing vocals. Internal option
cards may also be inserted in the side chain for a more
cost effective method. The cards that can be used are
the standard option cards which also fit into the CX
series crossovers and other TDM units.

Standard protruding knobs are available for the
dynamic user and recessed knobs with an included
security cover are ideal for fixed installations. Turn on
and off protection is also integrated.
